Outreach Specialist– The Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Research Program (WiSOR) is seeking an outreach specialist to join our rapidly growing program. WiSOR is an interdisciplinary, multi-investigator research program that supports a wide variety of outcomes-focused research, including health care disparities, comparative effectiveness research, patterns of care, and performance and safety in surgical care. The immediate program needs for this position involve an intervention study on weight management, led by Corrine Voils, PhD. The outreach specialist will be expected to develop participant recruitment and retention strategies to promote diversity as well as provide general research support.
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree strongly preferred in education, community health, health education, public health, communication, or related field.
Work experience in research, project management, communications, community outreach, public health, or related field is required. Two or more years of experience preferred.
Registered Dietitian– The Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Research Program (WiSOR) is seeking a Research Dietitian to join our rapidly growing program. WiSOR is an interdisciplinary, multi-investigator research program that supports a wide variety of outcomes-focused research, including health care disparities, comparative effectiveness research, patterns of care, and performance and safety in surgical care. The immediate program needs for this position involve an intervention study on weight management, led by Corrine Voils, PhD. The Research Dietitian will be expected to develop nutrition intervention content and deliver it to study participants, as well as provide general project management and research support.
Master’s Degree required. Degree in nutrition or dietetics, public health, population health, or related field preferred.
Work experience in clinical or health services research, community outreach, public health, patient care, or related field is preferred.

Health Services Researcher– Are you passionate about conducting research and improving health care quality and outcomes? The Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Research Program (WiSOR) is seeking a researcher to join our rapidly growing program. The immediate program needs for this position involve project management of a large multisite study that examines patient engagement in breast cancer surgery decision making. Other ongoing work focuses on breast cancer survivorship and disparities in breast reconstruction.
The selected candidate will assist with a variety of research areas, including project management, coordination of research teams, and execution of research. You will be expected to have experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and be able to manage projects involving interdisciplinary teams that include clinicians, biostatisticians, and qualitative researchers. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented problem solver who is both able to work independently and contribute to team science.
Master’s Degree or higher required. Degree in public health, population health, clinical investigation, health communications, sociology, or closely related field preferred.
